What is BBS and what does it do?
The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) the national statistics agency of the country. We welcome you to the official website of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics. We are responsible for collecting and publishing statistics related to the economy, population, and society at national, regional and local levels. We also conduct the census in Bangladesh every 10 years.
In recognition of the importance of statistics, the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government has to modernized and further strengthened the BBS to meet the demand from users. One of the goals of her government's vision 2021 (Vision 2021) is to establish Digital Bangladesh Statistics.
